Mazama, WA, March 16, 2011 — In just four months after the release of his debut album and publication of 70 new solo piano works in jazz/classical styles, Bill Doerrfeld today delivered his second album, entitled “A Passing Moment”. The album features 10 original solo piano compositions ranging in styles from virtuosic up-tempo Latin, R&B, boogie-woogie, jazz waltz and funk to pensive, rhapsodic jazz/classical ballads. The release continues Doerrfeld’s plan to deliver recordings of all of his published piano works with “A Passing Moment” representing “Doerrfeld Piano Works Volume 1″. A 68 page printed and bound musical score of all works on the album is immediately available for purchase along with CD and MP3 formats of the album at www.BillDoerrfeld.com/store/. A 10 minute video preview of the album including excerpts from the score is available at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-EFwhd4LO8.

Critical Acclaim

Doerrfeld’s recently released debut album entitled “Time And Again” has received critical praise with eJazzNews describing it as “an outstanding solo performance where the pianist applies a delicate touch of the keys leaving a beautiful sound to enjoy” adding that it’s “performed with unquestioned elegance.” Renowned classical pianist and Van Cliburn International Piano Competition winner Ralph Votapek is performing selections from Doerrfeld’s debut album in his concerts.
