A Passing Moment Review On CriticalJazz

Bill Doerrfeld’s second album “A Passing Moment” was just reviewed at CriticalJazz. Highlights include the following:

The sophomore release from the prolific Bill Doerrfeld is eclectic, wide ranging with a stylistic feel that is incredibly contemporary while infusing such sub genres as boogie-woogie into his sonic play book.

Genre, sub genre, style are seemingly of little interest to Doerrfeld who is simply an artist displaying the end result of his own sonic exploratory no matter where that may lead.

Doerrfeld may be a record label and critics worst nightmare as his incredible talent is not easily tagged into one comfortable niche. From a purely artistic standpoint Doerrfeld’s music makes you think about music and nothing else. A tremendously gifted artist whose talent stands any musical test thrust upon it. Well worth a listen!
